Ladies and Gentleman, I give you the much adored Adelie penguin. Over-enthusiastic. Over-excentric. And often very clumsy. Everyone wishes they were one, or at least had one for themselves...
Adelie through my teeth if i thought it would get me that kind of zest for living. Not sure i'd want to be one tho...aren't they fairly low on the food chain down there?
These are great!!! I love penquins!!! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteAmazing photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
ReplyDeleteWendy...indeed, they are pretty tasty morsels for killer whales and leopard seals...still...they have such a contagious excitement about things!
I sent this one to Amy Vargas, our penguin keeper/lover. It is certain to elicit a long drawn out "awwwww".
ReplyDeleteDo you ever see chinstraps? Enjoy your last few days down there and remember to entertain us in NZ!
ReplyDeleteNo Chinstraps unfortunately..."just" Adelies and Emperors.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to get some little blue penguins, yellow-eyed penguins, and rockhopper penguins in NZ!!
